Energy Compensated Gamma Counters
The energy of gamma radiation ranges from a few keV to several MeV. The registration efficiency of the Geiger-Muller counter is not the same for different energies of gamma radiation. To equalize the sensitivity of the counter in all energy ranges, special filters are used.
